I HAD to share this steal of a deal I found today!!! I was at HyVee in Kansas City, taking advantage of some of their wonderful sale prices that started today. I happened upon the pasta aisle and found that they had the Ronzoni Smart Taste for .99 each. (Apparently this is an online-ad-only deal.) Now, that in itself is a decent price, but I happened to have 24 of the $1 off one coupons from the 4/5 Smart Source insert. I've been waiting for a deal like this!
I picked up 24 of the 1-pound boxes and loaded them into my cart, thrilled about FREE pasta!! But at the checkout, the deal went from great to incredible!! It turns out that there is an in-store promotion, as well! For every two you buy, you receive a credit of .75 on your total bill!!!
I brought home 24 POUNDS of healthy pasta, and they PAID ME $9.00 to take it!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!

Wow!!! That is a deal! I am sending my son to the car to bring in my coupons so I can see how many pasta coupons I have and then we are going to Hy-Vee!!!!!
I think the deal is amazing, but I have to ask...do you like this pasta?
I tried one package of it (with a coupon), as I was excited about it having added calcium. None of us, not even the little one, would eat it. Something about the texture of it turned us off of it.
Am I the only one who thinks this?
Annie, we actually do like it! I have tried all the whole wheat and higher fiber pastas and we liked this one a lot. :-) So this deal was especially exciting for me since I know we will all enjoy it. I'm not really fond of the texture of plain white pasta, so maybe that's the difference?
I'm going to have to go check that out!!! We eat a ton of pasta here.

I just got back and got 6 boxes for free...yippee! My store (state line/76th) was not running the $.75 deal, though. But I won't complain about free pasta!!
Now that is amazing--whether you like it or not..ha ha.
